Problem
The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh issued an employment notification in the year 2007 for the appointment of Sub-Inspectors in the Police Department. The salary offered to the Male and Female inspectors is Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 8,000 respectively. Ms Sujatha he student of Constitutional Law wants to challenge the notification on the ground that Female Inspectors are offered less salary than the Male inspectors. Explain the constitutional positions.
Problem
The Greater Munipal Corporation of Hyderabad passed an Order to remove huts from pavements and other public places. The sudden decision of the corporation made thousands of pavement and slum dwellers homeless. An NGO filed Public Interest Litigation in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh under Article 226 of the Indian Constitution - Argue in favour of NGO.
Problem
An employee in PWD of Andhra Pradesh approached the State Administrative Tribunal in respect of his promotion against the State Govt. He could not get any relief. Then approached the High Court of AP. The Division Bench of the High Court of AP passed an order against the employee. Now he wants to go to Supreme Court - Advise.
Problem
The President of India shall be elected by an electoral college consisting of the elected members of both Houses of Parliament and the elected members of the State Legislative Assemblies. What is the mode of voting? Explain with an example.
